SOLAR ECLIPSE 2005 - 3d October 2005, there will be a solar eclipse that will pass by Tunisia. Among organisms concerned by this event: - Astronomical Society of Tunisia (SAT) This amateur association will organize the observation in Douz. - Sciences City at Tunis (CST) This national organism will offer three sites to observe the eclipse in the three Cities: Tunis, Tozeur and Douz. - Association Youth-Science Tunisia (AJST) This amateur association will oberse the eclipse with american astronomers in Douz. Cities and eclipse: Tunis: This site is destined for observers that can not displace to the south of Tunisia to observe the annular eclipse. They will observe a very beautiful partial eclipse 95 %, the solar disc will be hidden by the Moon to the maximum, at 10h 15 mn T.L (L.T: Local Time for Tunisia), it is Universel Time (UT) plus one hour (T.L=TU+1h) . Tozeur: This city is above the Chott-Djerid, it is far 450 km from Tunis. The eclipse will be annular from 9h 45 mn to 11h 32 mn T.L. Douz: This city is to the under the Chott-Jerid, it is to 30 km to the south of Tozeur. The eclipse will be annular in Kébili from 9h55 mn to 11h 42 mn.

ECLIPSE SOLAIRE 2005 - Le 3 octobre 2005, il y aura une éclipse solaire qui passera par la Tunisie. Parmi les organismes intéressés par cet événement : - Société Astronomique de Tunisie (SAT) Cette association amateur va organiser son observation à Douz. - Cité des Sciences à Tunis (CST) Cet organisme national va offrir trois sites pour observer l'éclipse: Tunis, Tozeur et Douz. - Association Jeunes-Science Tunisie (AJST) Cette association amateur observera l'éclipse avec des astronomes américans à Douz. Eclipse et villes : Tunis : Ce site est destiné aux observateurs qui ne peuvent pas se déplacer vers le sud tunisien pour observer une éclipse annulaire. Il observeront une très belle éclipse partielle où 95 % du disque solaire sera caché par la Lune au maximum, c'est à dire à 10h 15 mn heures de Tunis (T.L pour temps local) c'est heure universelle (TU pour temps Universel) plus une heure. Tozeur : Cette ville est au-dessus du Chott-Djerid, elle est à 450 km de Tunis. L'éclipse sera annulaire de 9h 45 mn à 11h 32 mn T.L. Douz : Cette ville est au dessous du Chott-Jerid, elle est à 30 km au sud de Tozeur. L'éclipse sera annulaire à Kébili de 9h55mn à 11h 42 mn.
